GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT OUR WEBSITE
By using our website, you fully accept these Terms of Our Rental. Completing a reservation with DRIVEQUEST means that you, the renter have agreed and accepted all the terms of our site, therefore all information must be read and understood thoroughly.
We have the right to modify these terms at any time.
Access to our site is available 24 hours a day you can also contact us by email or phone.
DriveQuest is committed to ensure that the information you provide while making a reservation is secured.
While making a reservation, your personal information is required for the process of the reservation (name, surname, telephone number, credit card details, e-mail address, home address, country of origin, postal code and date of birth). By submitting the reservation you agree for the use of this information to be used to complete your booking.
The customer commits to not allow any person to drive the vehicle beyond the persons appearing as drivers in the Rental Agreement signed. In any other case he will be held liable for any damage to the vehicle or to third parties in such case.
The rental day is calculated on a 24-hour basis, with a grace period of 1 hour after the declared time of return or pick up of the car. In case of delayed return, more than 1 hour, then another rental day is charged. The company reserves the right -depending on the availability- to provide a different type of car from the original booking with another one similar or a better class.
In order to provide you the best possible service as well as to upgrade our services, after the expiration of your rental, we send evaluation forms. Any customer feedback and experiences help us become better.
DRIVER’S LICENSE
The driver must hold a valid driving license for at least one (1) year. The driving license must be:

The renter is exclusive responsible for ensuring that all documents are valid for use in Greece.
PICK UP / RETURN
The delivery and return of vehicles takes place at any port, airport, or city in Crete by prior arrangement. The company reserves the right to cancel a reservation after a one-hour delay at pickup if no communication has been received from the customer.
In case of delayed arrival beyond our control (e.g., flight delays,...), the company will make every reasonable effort to accommodate the new arrival time.
For pick-ups and drop-offs between 22:00 and 00:00 and between 06:00 and 07:00, an additional charge of €20 applies.
For pick-ups and drop-offs between 00:00 and 06:00, an additional charge of €40 applies.
GEOGRAPHICAL LIMITATIONS
Transportation outside of Crete is not allowed.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Upon pick up of the car it is necessary to present a Driver's License, Passport or Identity card
DRIVER’S AGE
The tenant and driver must be from 19 years of age. The driver must hold a license for at least one year. There may be special conditions for drivers aged 20-24 & aged 75+1 day- Please contact us.
MINIMUM RENT
The minimum rental is 1 hour, which is defined as 1 day’s rental.
CANCELLATION AND CHANGE POLICY
Refund Percentage for Cancellations: A refund of 75% of the total booking amount will be provided if the cancellation is made up to 8 days before the start of the contract. 25% Advanced payment is nonrefundable. No refund is given if the cancellation is made less than 8 days before the start of the contract or for last-minute bookings.
Changes to Reservations : Booking changes can be made subject to availability and in accordance with the rental terms. Last-minute bookings (within 24 hours) may undergo changes in the duration and time of vehicle delivery, with notification provided to the customer. For changes made less than 8 days before the scheduled pick-up date, where the rental duration is shortened, no refund will be issued for the unused rental period.
Vehicle Change due to Personal Preference / Comfort : DriveQuest provides the customer with a vehicle from the category reserved. In the event that the customer wishes to change the vehicle for reasons of personal comfort and not due to the company’s responsibility or a technical issue with the vehicle, the change may be carried out subject to availability with an additional charge . The company bears no responsibility for the customer’s request to change the vehicle if the original vehicle met the agreed specifications of the reserved category.
Early Return of Vehicle : In the event of an early return of the vehicle, no refund will be issued for the remaining days of the contract.
Non-Refundable Cancellations - Refunds are not applicable in the following cases
• Non-acceptance of the vehicle rental terms and conditions.
• No-show.
• Invalid or expired driver's license, or absence of a license.
• Failure to complete the payment amount or the balance of the reservation.
• Customer behavior in the office that is not compatible with the rental terms. Policy Validity for All Customers : Our cancellation and refund policies apply uniformly to all customers, regardless of their country of origin.
By accepting these terms, all users agree to comply by the cancellation and refund policies stated above, subject to the jurisdiction specified in Article 21 (Law and Jurisdiction).

RETURN OF THE VEHICLE
The tenant must return the vehicle to the agreed location and date as specified in the Rental Agreement. If the vehicle is returned to a different location additional costs apply and must be arranged in advance. Delays in drop-off exceeding 1 hour, as specified in the Rental Agreement, will occur an additional day charge.For any delays exceeding the one-hour grace period, please contact us immediately to avoid cancellation of your insurance protection coverage..Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as at the time of rental. If returned with less fuel, a administration fee of 15 plus the cost of the missing fuel will be charged.
Modifications of drop-off must take place at least 8 hours before the initial scheduled date and time.
GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR RENTING A CAR
Customers pick up the rented vehicle as it is described in the Rental Agreement , in perfect working condition, with all its documents, tires, wheels, crystal/glasses, tools, and accessories, and undertake the obligation to take care of it and return it in the same condition as received. Furthermore, customers must respect and drive according to the traffic Code (KOK) applicable in Greece.
By signing the Rental Agreement, customers accept the rental terms and conditions as defined by DriveQuest. In case of an accident, the tenant is obliged to immediately inform DriveQuest and to immediately notify the Traffic Police and the Insurance Company.
WAYS OF PAYMENT
We accept payments by credit cards, debit cards (Visa and Mastercard, Maestro, Payments via PayPal are accepted exclusively for online transactions at booking process , in cash and deposit in the bank with the reason for the renters name
AMERICAN EXPRESS (AMEX) is not accepted
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT AND ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
Child seats are available upon request for all ages according to weight as well as a Specialized Navigation System upon request both with additional charges. Due to insurance policy, it is the tenant's obligation to place the seat in the car.
Note: Seat standards may differ in other countries.
Our company is able to provide you with an additional option upon car pickup at the Rental Desk, which covers Tires & Glasses of the car, which is not cover by most of insurance companies in Greece.
SMOKING INSIDE THE CAR - VEHICLE CLEANING
Smoking is prohibited in all our cars.
The vehicle must be returned in a suitable state of cleanliness to allow for inspection upon collection. If the cleanliness of the vehicle upon return prevents an external inspection, an additional charge of €20 will be applied to the card declared upon car delivery.
During the vehicle inspection, if it is found that the driver or passengers have smoked inside the vehicle, if the terms for transporting pets have not been followed, if the vehicle interior is dirty or stained with residues such as sand, sunscreen oils, salty seawater, etc., an additional cleaning charge of €150 will be applied to the card provided at the contract signing for the biological cleaning of the vehicle interior.
ANIMALS & PETS
Animals or pets are allowed inside our cars. Only way is to use special boxes, such as those used in airplanes.
KEY LOSS/ROAD ASSISTANCE
In case of the loss of a key, the renter must immediately inform Drivequest in order to get a spare key. Additional charge: Key cost + Administrative expenses €25 + Transport cost (calculated based on mileage)
FINES AND VIOLATIONS
Administrative Sanctions resulting from traffic violations committed during the rental period of the car are fully borne by the tenant and the company must be informed immediately. If the company receives fines related to traffic code violations, an additional charge equal to the amount of the fine + €15 (administrative expenses) will be charged to the card declared at the time of contract signing.
In case of license plate removal by authorities, a penalty of €250 will be applied.
USE OF THE VEHICLE BY THE TENANT
The customer expressly agrees to the following:

Keep the vehicle in good condition

Respect the Traffic Code
-
Do not violate traffic lights or the STOP signal

Respect the speed limits
-
Do not drive off-road or on a dirt road (eg Balos beach) Failure to comply with this rule will result in a €250 charge upon return, cancellation of coverage for Wheels, Underside, and Glass (WUG), and full liability for any damages caused.

Do not drive under the influence of alcohol or any other substances
-
Do not use the vehicle to tow another vehicle

Do not perform activities for the purpose of subletting the vehicle
-
Do not use the vehicle to participate in competitions or sports, either formal or informal

Lock the car properly, in a suitable, appropriate and safe place when not in use
-
Do not provide as collateral, pledge, sell, lease, assign, mortgage, lend or even change or convert any part of the vehicle

Stop the car immediately in case of the slightest external or internal indication of technical weakness
Mechanical damages caused by negligence or improper use of the vehicle remain the responsibility of the customer. Examples include: Using the wrong fuel, Failing to apply the handbrake on steep slopes, driving at excessive speeds or sudden braking, Ignoring warning lights on the dashboard , Overloading the vehicle, Improper use of the manual or automatic transmission, Leaving lights or lamps on that cause the battery to drain. This list is not exhaustive

INSURANCE
BASIC PROTECTION
Includes third-party liability insurance (CDW), which is the minimum required by Greek legislation (Law 489/1976) for a vehicle to circulate on the Greek road network.The customer is fully responsible for all damages during the rental period.

* with excess Excess is the amount you pay when making a claim — it’s your share of the cost before your insurance covers the rest.
It’s a simple way to keep your premiums lower and avoid small, unnecessary claims.
💡 Example: If your repair costs $2,000 and your excess is $500, you only pay $500 — we take care of the rest.
NOTE: the amount of excess is different and specified on car categorys depending on actual values of the cars and age of driver as provided by the insurance company
The care plan is not covering the underbody/underneath of the car ,the tyres, and all the glasses
ULTRA CARE PLAN
Available only with the CARE PLAN (not with BASIC ). Price depends by on vehicle category and rental duration.
Ultra care plan also includes underbody protection, covering parts underneath the car (e.g., chassis, oil pan, exhaust). Underbody protection does NOT apply in cases of driving on unpaved or unsuitable roads, Reckless or negligent driving, Hitting curbs, potholes, or other road hazards
Renters are expected to drive responsibly and remain on paved, public roads at all times. Failure to do so may result in full liability for underbody damage, even if ULTRA CARE has been selected.
Important: Damages to tires and glass are NOT covered by our standard insurance packages (BASIC and CARE). To protect yourself from these damages, we recommend adding the optional ULTRA CARE protection *. Without this coverage, you will be fully responsible for any costs associated with tire underbottom or glass damage. The final amount for optional tire and glass coverage depends on the vehicle category and the rental duration.
We recommend adding Ullta Care Coverage to avoid unforeseen expenses for tires and glass, which are typically not covered by most insurance providers.
Costs for processing claims: regardless of coverage: 35€
SECURITY DEPOSIT
For drivers aged between 25 and 74 years old, the security deposit amount depends on the selected insurance package and the vehicle model, as follows:
